San Casting Workshop - April Friday 27th, 2026

Create your own bronze or silver* ring in this hands-on jewelry class
Join us at Ojo Creativo Studio in Barrio Logan for an intimate, hands-on jewelry workshop where you’ll learn the ancient art of sand casting. This one-day class is perfect for beginners and creatives looking to explore metalworking in a small group setting.

What You'll Do:

• Learn the fundamentals of sand casting, an old-world metal casting technique

• Carve and shape your own wax model for a ring or small pendant

• Prepare your mold and cast your piece in molten bronze or silver* using professional tools

• Take home a finished piece of wearable art made by you

Whether you're brand new to jewelry making or just want to try something different, this workshop offers a full creative experience with guidance every step of the way.

All Materials Included:
We provide everything you need:

• Professional casting sand

• Wax for modeling

• Bronze for casting (*with the option to upgrade to silver)

• Torches, crucibles, safety gear, and tools

• Studio time at Ojo Creativo in San Diego’s Barrio Logan

*Optional Silver Upgrade:
Prefer to cast your piece in sterling silver? You can upgrade during the workshop. The silver cost is based on the weight of your finished piece, typically ranging from $20 to $40, calculated at $2.50 per gram.
